Fine Art and Photo Transfer on Canvas
The reputation of the artist and the quality and stability of
our process is paramount.
August Art transfers are certified to be the PH Balanced and
stabilized with a U.V Barrier.
30 years of stability has been realized by August Art
Company.
Only the purest of chemicals are used in the process.
Over 20 years of research has rewarded August Art Company
with a successful national reputation

Briefly the process is as follows:
1. Selected 100% cotton fiber canvas is hand primed with
chemicals to stabilize the surface, then sanded to insure a
uniform texture. We offer our unique tuck and roll
2. The lithograph is coated with a blend of acrylics and
buffers to insure proper PH compatibility between ink and
chemical. The print is cured to insure proper film properties.
3. The ink and film is "lifted" from the paper on a
"membrane" and placed in the canvas very carefully. This is
achieved with controlled chemicals in the soaking process.
4. The transfer is again allowed to cure.
5. U.V Barriers are again applied on the final finish.
(Finishes vary according to the customers' requirements.)
6. In every step the transfer is inspected for flaws. If any
print is flawed, it is either touched-up or removed from the run
This care goes into every August Art transfer
Canvas Transfer Pricing:
We charge $0.75 cents per united inch. If you are unclear on
how that works, here is a brief explanation. You take the length
and width of the image and add those two numbers. You then take
that total and times it by 0.75 cents to get your cost. Below
are two examples.
| 16x20 |
16 + 20 = 36 |
36 x .75=$27.00 |
| 20x24 |
20 + 24 = 44 |
44 x .75=$33.00 |
The above pricing includes the canvas transfer being put onto
a stretcher bar.
